Advanced Design Group Professional Engineering and Land Surveying, P.C. (ADG) is a local full-service, multi-disciplinary civil engineering firm providing planning, design, and construction management services for residential, commercial and industrial subdivisions and site plans throughout the country. ADG is certified as a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) in the State of New York and Erie County. 

Founded in 2005, ADG has established a record of high-quality, on-time, cost-effective work. With over 100 years of combined experience, we are confident in our ability to provide quality, responsive and economically sound site-engineering services. 

Our extensive experience in working as the lead consultant or as a sub-consultant has allowed us to successfully navigate the municipal, state and federal public hearings and approval processes.

Kristin L. Savard, PE


Kristin is a native Western New Yorker who returned home after 12 years away.  Utilizing the site work experience obtained while working in the New England area, Kristin advanced her professional career to become co-founder of ADG in 2005 and President in 2008.

After graduating from Clarkson University and SUNY Potsdam in 1995 with Bachelors Degrees in Civil Engineering and Physics, Kristin began her career as a Project Engineer for J. R. Russo & Associates in East Windsor, CT. After 5 years she joined Martinez Couch & Associates in New Haven, CT as a Project Engineer. In 2002, she returned to Western New York where she worked as Project Engineer for Wendel Duchscherer in Amherst, NY before co-founding ADG as a NYS Certified WBE business.

Kristin has over 18 years of engineering and project management experience.  She has been directly responsible for the planning, design, and construction of projects ranging from residential and commercial subdivisions to an 18-acre solid waste recycling facility.  She has extensive experience in all aspects of obtaining the local, state and federal approvals for the development of sites across the state and nationwide.

Kristin specializes in government regulations, zoning, grading, drainage and utility designs, SEQR and in SPDES compliance.

Richard J. Haight, PE

Vice-President of Engineering

Rick has over 27 years of engineering experience.  After graduating in 1984 with an Associates Degree in Engineering Science from SUNY Delhi, Rick went on to Union College where he graduated cum laude in 1986 with a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.  He began his career as an Engineer Intern for the Connecticut Department of Transportation in 1986. Within 3 years, he was promoted to a Senior Engineer position as the District One Traffic Engineer, a position that he held for 14 years.  After moving to Western New York, Rick co-founded ADG in 2005 and became Vice-President of the company after incorporation in 2008.

Recent projects have included the design of residential and commercial subdivisions, including project management, design, drafting, and construction inspection.  He specializes in stormwater design, NYSDEC SPDES compliance, utility design, traffic, and transportation engineering. He has extensive experience in complex drainage designs, traffic studies, including traffic signal and signal system analysis, review and implementation of detour routing and Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Plans.

Kenneth Lee Slaugenhoupt, PLS

Vice-President of Survey

Mr. Slaugenhoupt’s 30 years of experience have exposed him to all phases of Land Surveying. Trained by working in the family business, and under five different, but distinct Licensed Land Surveyors, Lee has gained experience as a Field Surveyor, Office and CADD production and the day to day aspects of running a Professional Corporation.

Mr. Slaugenhoupt’s field experience includes thousands of Residential & Commercial Boundary Surveys, including approximately 600 sites in New Jersey in support of Federal Superfund Remedial Action Program. Other field experience includes topographic surveys, GPS networks, RTK GPS, wetland delineations, ground control for aerial photography projects, construction stake-out and as-built site plans.

Advanced Design Group’s office & CADD production procedures have been developed around the thousands of hours of experience in drafting, note reductions and error checking, records research, deed analysis, survey adjustments and the preparation of construction shop drawings.

Mr. Slaugenhoupt joined Advanced Design Group Professional Engineering & Land Surveying, PC as the Vice-President on Survey in 2012 and is instrumental in the expansion of the survey division of the company.
